Musicologist · Educator · Pianist

I hold a master’s in music history and theory and a PhD in critical music studies from Stony Brook University. I have taught undergraduate courses covering Western music history and theory, opera studies, music and technology, and music and politics.

I specialize in 20th-century art music, art music and the HIV/AIDS epidemic, and music and gender studies.

I’m also a classically trained pianist with more than 20 years of training and extensive competition and performance experience.
